Super Moon Wedding at Grand Caribe

The night of may 5 2012, was one of the most mentioned all around the world, because of the astrological phenomen that happened: the night of the super moon. Everyone was waiting to see the 14% bigger moon and everyone was eager to photograph it. I was beyond happy because I had a wedding that afternoon… but sometimes, things are not the way we hope. I might be already used with Belize and some extraordinary things for some are ordinary for us, the ones we live here. Nobody was super impressed with the size of the moon… was a regular for us… or I can definitely say, we had bigger moons that the one from may 5 2012. But, was fun to watch and to chat about it and yes, we had gorgeous light in the evening… The moon was not bigger, but was definitely brighter.

Stephanie & Clint chose to get married at one of the nicest resorts from Ambergris Caye, Grand Caribe. I had only 1 wedding there, last year, august, but because I had an confidentiality agreement with my bride&groom, I was not able to display anything. And finally, I had it: may 5, 2012. My bride… took my breath away. Her hair and makeup were stunning (Thanks to Elida, one of my fav. from the island)… Family Photos were a BLAST! The ceremony, intimate, only few immediate family members (parents, sisters, brohers, of course, grandma’s and best friends). I love those weddings.

The natural setting at Grand Caribe is just spectacullar. I will let the photos speak for me.

Was already too late by the time the moon was brighter, but I chose to not photoshop the real image. I did not had a photoshoot around the moon, but last photo I’ll show in their album will be the one you’ll see here…

Enjoy! (more photos coming soon…)

Intimate Wedding at Matachica

When I asked Sarah & Bryan, and I ask them  how they see their wedding, both of them answered one time “FUN”! So, was definitely FUN! Their wedding was as intimate can be (only them 2) and the location they chosed, chich and cozy, a romantic resort North Ambergris Caye, called Matachica.

They were good models, despite what Bryan thinks and yes, we had tons of fun running all around resort!

Now, they are already back to their lives and their 5 kids, but their photos will remind them their moments here in Belize.

Your photos are your moments and also memories!

Enjoy!

Friday 13, Lucky Wedding at Coco Beach

Lynsey & Alex. I have 1 word for you: LOVE! Your wedding day was more than perfect!

I had some time with Alex, enjoying his moments before the ceremony… and with Lynsey I start with a glamour photo-shoot before wedding… We had  a blast! The connection between us was fantastic! We “click” from the very beginning. I enjoyed every moment with her. Because the wedding was intimate, what I want, is the entire family and friends to feel your wedding day, the way you did and I also want through each photo to remember a moment.

Coco Beach resort was perfect. As usual, of course :) I always love to go there and I’m always surprised by the Ceremony Arrangement. Michelle, the wedding coordinator, is using her creativity to surprise everyone and she always does. I’m always eager to see what she did and this time we had the aisle of MY dreams… I loved loved loved it!

Enjoy!

Kids Facebook Contest, the Winner: Photoshoot

When I start this contest on facebook, I had no clue will be so successful! The entire idea of the contest was simple: whoever wanted to participate, sent me a photo and if the quality was decent I submit it in an folder dedicated to this contest. The photo with the most “like’s” was the winner. Initially, I start with 1 prize… but when I saw how much work is and how serious people are taking it, I decided to offer more prizes. And I also did an second contest dedicated to the adults. I was told in private that is  not fair kids to compete with adults, and I kind of agree with this :))) Was fun to watch and I was amazed, not by the new number fans of my page, but of the hard work everyone had

Long story short, after more than 1 month, and thousands of likes we had 1 main winner with the most likes, VEDA SANCHEZ and 7 different other prizes. Quite cool, right?

About the Winner… I knew Veda, from a while. Not personally, but enough to have an idea how is she. Hard working, happy all the time and her treasure is her family. And this is what she win: a photoshoot with her entire family. She come in San Pedro for this photoshoot with her entire family, her 2 gorgeous daughter, her sister&brother and of course, her parents. 7 of them!

Veda was in reality the way I imagine her, but her family… more than I was hoping for!!! What a joy!!! We were laughing non stop! I stop time to time to not drop my camera… the laugh was real and anything I told them they looked at me like “oh, my… and than start laughing”. I will just tell you what was my first thing I did when I saw them… because was raining, I went to their hotel room and after 1 minute I saw them, I told them… “guys, we’ll need to have our shoot here in case the rain don’t stop… so I suggest to not lose time and wait, just do it” First thing we need to do, is to move the furniture, the way I need it… I want as much light I can get…” They looked at me like they didn’t understand me and I told them “yes, we need to move the furniture, man… help me”… Oh, Gosh, we laugh so hard when we moved the bed… too funny!!!” Here is how I meet them and our entire shoot was like this :)) That photo shoot was too much fun! The baby keep wanted to brush her teeth, I keep telling her… not now, not now…and after few seconds when she didn’t want to look at me I told her “brush your teeth… brush your teeth” the bed was too small for all of them and I keep telling them “squeezeeeee mooooreeee” and they were way already too squeezed but they really tried :)))))

And this our first photo:

Family Photos in a hotel room

Family Photos in a hotel room

Thanks God the rain stopped after this photo and we went outside. The rain was on & off, so our 45 minute shoot was 3 hours! :))) We had family photos, individual portraits, fun and Veda have her own cozy business called Veda Couture Bows and we had a mini photoshoot with some of her creations. I was blown away of what she can do. She can create an customize outfit  from A to Z… And she can be found here, in Belize!

Their entire family don’t have a family portrait in years and I’m really really happy I meet them all and did this for them. I know they’ll cherish those photos forever and I also know that every time they’ll see them, they’ll have a smile on their face and everyone will remeber me though my work!

Here is their coffee table book, the way I design it:

Wedding at Captain Morgan, Ambergris Caye, Belize – 10/10/10 10:10 am

My first wedding at Captain Morgan, one of the oldest and the most respectable resorts from Ambergris Caye! And was a total blast!

It is impossible for me to forget your wedding date: 10-10-2010! And to say “I DO” at 10:10 am is more than unusual and amazing!

“Captain Morgan’s Resort is undoubedly one of Belize’s premier vacation destinations… The resort sits on some of the finest pristine beachfront on Ambergris Caye…” Like this start the description of the resort on their page Captain Morgan and I can’t agree more!

Lynne and Christopher, I absolutely LOVED your wedding day. We had tons of fun! The nature there is unbelievable! The palm trees are amazing, the beach is wonderful, the kayaks were there waiting for us, we even find a star fish right there… we went around the place for 2 hours and we still find more and more places to photograph.

Captain Morgan is AMAZING and I am really happy I had the chance to photograph there!

Me, personally, love intimate weddings… and your group was great! I love the fun we had! I loved the location! I love the spirit of the bride and groom! We had so much fun going around and just having fun!

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for having me there in your wedding day!

More photos from this wedding will always be under my website.

Enjoy my favorites!
