Relaxed & Elegant Wedding at Victoria House, Belize

Many online chats with Janine (my bride) catch me giggle with her. We had a fantastic relationship before wedding and by the time of the big day, I knew many details of their life.

I don’t even know how to start to describe this wedding. First thing when I’m thinking about this wedding is a wide smile on my face… and a lot of words in my mind…

So, I asked my bride (that is online and we chat often) what is the taste of her wedding and this was her answer: “ Elegant, intimate, relaxed, fun, great food, and a fabulous week of family and friends joining together to celebrate The uniting of best friends!!! “

She said everything I was hoping to hear. We ALL  had a blast. I did not really feel like working as we were laughing all the time.

Janine & Scott, you had an amazing day!

Magic Wedding at Belizean Cove Estate

April 25, 2011: ” My fiance and I ran into your Facebook Page and loved your work. So to begin with, we want to tell you that you do amazing Job and Congratulations! Also We are very much interested in having a photoshoot with you for our wedding. This will be December 2011..The thing is that we do not want to do the photoshoot the very same day of our wedding… We will be getting married here in Corozal … so we were thinking of maybe doing this in San Pedro, since that is where we will be going for our honeymoon on the 14th of December…”

This was the beginning of our “relationship”… I enjoyed every single email. We had soo many back and forwards and all of us! We had our photoshoot scheduled on dec. 14 and was heavy rain all day! I like rain for a wedding day, but not tropical rain all day long. So, we had to delay it. Magic happened and our bridal photoshoot was moved at one of the most luxurious resorts from the country: Belizean Cove Estate. An phenomenal place, a dream place for any couple to have their wedding. And yes… it is magic. All places have something special for me, and I’m trying to give a taste to all weddings, give them the right title and MAGIC si perfect for what we had.

When we meet, Krisalis told me that I was the only wedding gift she wanted. Actually, my work :) This photo shoot was everything she ever wanted and she was very excited about this.

The hairdresser and makeup artist is my favorite from the entire country: Carlos Barientos. He did a FABULOUS job!

My bride and groom had fun ALL afternoon! I got their wedding photos, taken by a friend and if they decide for a wedding book, I’ll incorporate photos from their real wedding (retouched by me)…. this would be interesting :) We kind of recreate the moments before ceremony, the girls fun, the boys, the bridal photos around and… they went in the water at the end of the shoot!

Enjoy their photos!

5* Wedding in Caribbean. Victoria House, Beach Resort

When I say Victoria House, I talk about one of the finest resorts from our country. I had many weddings at this resort and I have to tell you, I was NEVER worried that something can go wrong. Their proffesionalism right on the top of the line! The resort is pure Paradise and everything is going exactly the way you plan.

I meet Keisha and Lenny 2 days before their wedding and I just loved them. Both of them, super happy and excited for the big day.

When I saw Keisha in her wedding day, I was “oh, WOOW”!!! Her dress… even if her wedding was on the beach and casual, the dress was “WOOOOW”. Seriously, Fairytale Dress!

For me, personally, “here comes the bride” is one of the most important moments from the entire wedding and the fact that they had drummers while the bride was walking down the aisle, through the palm trees following the sound of the drums… was amazing. I had goosebumps the entire process and I said to myself “I need to promote those guys, and I need to talk about them”… I want all my brides and groom’s to experience this!

An intimate group, family and best friends… oh, we had so much fun! By the time they get used with my accent and style, we were laughing and kidding all the time:) (they know what I’m talking about). And, someone from Japan was LIVE on I-phone attending the entire wedding. How cool is that?!

Right after family photos, before our bridal photoshoot, the rain start. So, we stop photographing and I was like “the light… is gone“. So, I lost my hour, but I did not panic. I had additional lights with me and 5 minutes before to be complete pitch dark the rain stop and we run outside for a set of photos and… yes… gorgeous photos! This couple inspired me… :)

The party… was AMAZING! Soo much fun! EVERYONE was dancing… no matter the age! This band was phenomenal! The very same drummers. Super Super job! I’ll definitely recomand those guys everywhere!

Enjoy their photos and also see how I design their Wedding Album.

Wedding with Style at Cayo Espanto

I am extremely excited when I hear that my bride and groom have classics outfits: white dress, black toxedo. Even before to see how they’ll look,. I just now will be perfect. And when I saw the red roses… those were the icing on the cake for me.

I’m not a red roses fanatic, but in this combination were from far my favorites.

When I meet my bride & groom 1 day before their wedding, just to see how they are, I knew we’ll have a perfect connection and I’ll also knew that I might have some of my favorites photos all time. And, it happened.

Michelle (my bride) told me that she saw the photos I did to the previous wedding and loved them very much. That was the reason she pick the same cabana and same spot for their ceremony. What she didn’t know is that I’m not doing 2 weddings the same :)))) So, even if is the exact same  location, their photos are completely different and I adjust the entire photoshoot after their personality!

Michelle, Joe, was a real honor to shoot your wedding! Thank you!

Enjoy! (if you want to see the photos larger, please go on my main website and under Weddings at… CAYO ESPANTO, you’ll see them.

Full Moon Wedding at Las Terrazas

When I ask Melissa & Tim what make them choose Las Terrazas resort, their answer bring a smile on my face “we wanted to have the wedding of our dreams and our style is actually completely different… we like to camp and like simple things… Las Terrazas is one of the nicest resorts where we went and look better than in photos”. I was so happy for their choice.

Their wedding day was phenomenal. I loved every little thing. Their joy and happiness was contagious, their intimate group was busting of energy and good karma, everyone was so happy… My bride and groom laugh from everything, they had little chats all the time and their love was in the air.

Start with the ceremony where the sky was heavy, the blessed rain right after they said I DO, the amazing reception right on the beach under full moon, the delicious food and drinks and the amazing staff they have there… One word: EVERYTHING was the way that most of us dream for their wedding.

During that weekend, their parents celebrate their anniversary of 30 years of marriage and one night before their wedding, his best friend proposed right on the pier. Can you imagine to propose on full moon at the end of the pier?

Follow the photos and you’ll see their day the way I saw it.

Enjoy!
