I don’t even know how to start this post. Are so many things I would like to say. I will try to do my very best to pass you the feeling of this wedding.
Katie & Bane are definitely special and I know, I’ll remember their day for the rest of my life. Their dream day, their wedding day, was all about family and connection with God.
I was asked to change my pattern for their wedding. We did not had bridal /family photos before the ceremony as we were travelling and they were not dressed up as bride & groom…

Leaving from Victoria House, Ambergris Caye to the next island, Caye Caulker

Getting ready to go to church on next island, Caye Caulker
And, our belizean usual ride became part of their wedding day… with happiness and excitement

on the boat…the boys
-
- and the girls, on their way to church
Once we reach in Caye Caulker, we jumped in golf carts and go to the chapel…

On our way to church with local transportation
I had literally, few minutes with the bride, when she told me she want to pray for her marriage. I had my rosaries with me, give them quickly and let her few minutes. Her wedding dress was spectacular, and the veil was very special, being in her family for over 100 years.
Those photos I took special for grandma & her mom. A quiet moment, right before the ceremony, just my bride talking with God.

Moments before ceremony: Bridal Prayer
Her dad, walk her down the aisle…

Moment before ceremony: Father & Daughter
The ceremony was personalized by bringing their own priest, someone who knew them well and spoke from his heart the entire time. Many times, I put the camera down and listen to his words. The priest, had an incredible voice and passion. The other priest, the one is usually in Caye Caulker at the small church, father Schneider, was there the entire ceremony and give such a powerful feeling to the entire ceremony… was amazing.

their friend & priest performed the ceremony

Father Schneider was praying all the time

Pablo with his flute added feeling on ceremony
After ceremony we had limited time for photos, so we jump in a golf cart and run

I feel very proud, that people like them had chosen Belize to get married. Such a small & simple place, with such an impact on everyone
We had just few portraits on our way back to the boat.

Happiness!

We came back at Victoria House where, on the beach, was the reception

Katie & Bane: First dance under the stars

Here was their reception. Amazing setting at one of the finest resorts from the country, Victoria House and an amazing local band, Cool J, that made everyone dance
Katie & Bane, your wedding was unsual for me, but I did my very best to capture the feeling of your wedding day… an amazing feeling that I will never forget.
More photos to follow in few weeks…
